I'd say Jackie Wilson or Phillip Bailey could hit higher notes than both Marvin or Teddy, but they're all different styles. Marvin gets more recognition because he was a creative songwriter and Teddy was just a singer.

I love this song. It is from a true masterpiece from El in 1992. Unfortuneately the public didn't buy El's honesty and it failed to make the charts. Hopefull this song will become apart of a movie soundtrack and it will be given the credit it is due. Has anyone heard El's collaboration in 94 with Andrea Crouch "The Lord is My Light" brilliant. Although El reached his commercial peak in 80s, he reached his artistic peak during the 90s, proving himself an amazing soul, jazz and gospel genius.
