If you time it right,you can dash at the camera-thing when its looking the other way,and crouch at the right moment so that you slide under it and end up behind it,where you can quietly hack away at it with your crowbar while remaining undetected.The problem with this is that your dumbf*ck allies always run in and ruin everything before you can destroy the camera.Trap your allies behind the double door at the bottom of the stairs by jamming the door with a barrel as its trying to close.good luck

One funny ting about the game is that even though the music in this game is great it doesn't always match to what happening like when the heli is dropping bombs in the beginning of this vid. it's kinda like Gordon has like an ipod built into his suit that's full of actioney songs that he turns on when something epic like that happens but in the panic of the event he picks the wrong song at times and just leaves it. but make no mistake i love the music in this game.

I played half of HL1 when it first came out. I just started HL2 last night, love it so far; love how right at the beginning it is a bit of a challenge and has you scrambling. And the platforming aspects are not something you see w/ shooters. Oh yea, HEV is much better than regenerating health that virtually all shooters use today.

Since the Combine's helmet was preventing the headcrab from attaching properly, it had to dig up through the jaw, fracturing the skull so when you killed one and the headcrab separated from it's host, all that remains intact on the head is a portion of his jaw.

I know this was 6 months ago, but don't forget that Blue Shift was NOT made by Valve, and Valve has never confirmed which Barney is the real Barney Calhoun. So, technically it could have been any of the Barneys. Just wanted to point that out.

All the security gaurds are Barney. Clones of him anyway. In Blue Shift you play as Barney Calhoun. I belive they each have their own last name as to make sure there is no confusion in Black Mesa.

for advice.. that vat of water you jump in right after you get the shotgun. if you time and aim your jump just right you can completely jump over the vat and land on the walkway near it and keep moving it saves some time and you feel kinda good knowing you landed that.
