So...how do we get out of this? It appears Obama and all the talking heads are saying we'll have massive stimulus packages, but...will likely not raise taxes for now as it will slow recovery. That means the stimulus packages must be funded either with additional debt (budget deficits) or by simply printing money (which leads to inflation). Inflation is the ultimate evil and MUST be avoided. We've already got $10T in debt and the interest payments are huge. How much more debt can we handle?

I believe that many of our military personnel understand the role of the military as defined in the Constitution. Of course every troop has been trained to immediately obey orders, but I don't think they would follow orders if it meant taking away the freedoms of Americans. No, the military will be the one to stop Obama. If states did secede they will take with them the brunt of our forces. So, we should become afraid if the UN decides to have a reactionary or police role in America.

But...just because some cops use taser (and other tools) excessively, doesn't mean the tool itself should be banned. I can't condemn the cops for coming on strong (verbally) with suspects. Remember...most people cops stop are actually suspected of something, and miscreants...by their very nature...are aggressive and unlikely to respond to a touchy-feely social worker type of approach

The IRA has been far more active than any muslim group has been in the UK and even they don't make up for a lot of the crime. griz: I can't agree that the average cop wielding a baton (to say nothing of a gun) is less dangerous than a taser. I've also heard from people that have been tasered and read about the impact. It's unpleasant for sure, but leaves no permanent damage and subdues the miscreant right quick. Can't say that about a lead-lined baton to the face/head/knee. I wouldn't describe the taser as a wonderful thing...just the best option available to shut a bad guy down quick without permanent injury.

You're barkin' up a wrong tree here. I'm not a "peace officer", but I've worked 15 years as a security guard at unarmed sites. All I've EVER used was a baton and in 15 years I've faced knives, pistols and 1 rifle. I've also never had shots fired at a site. Now, I realize that police get sent out on a lot more serious calls, but the taser isn't the wonderful thing you think it is. It is, to my mind, a crutch and a torture device, period.

Well, I tend to think that the number of police abuse cases is way up. Not because they started off bad or that all are bad, but their employer (the government) makes bad decisions and expects the officers to live with the employer's errors. Early on in the video he talks about the dollar losing value and about there being a run on the dollar, but then isn't he encouraging a run on the dollar by telling people to get out of it and invest in foreign stocks etc? Merry Christmas does not mean wish you well. merry does but when added together it means wish you well during Christ's Mass. more to it than just wishing someone well. if that were the case they'd say 'wish you well' only w/o Christmas. It is very sad, isn't it? To be politically correct, we can't mention Christmas, we always have to call it "the holidays." But Hanakah (sp?) and Kwanza can be mentioned freely. People have to be so careful not to offend any of these people that WANT to be offended, the people who are looking for anything they can possibly say offends them for whatever reason. They can do and say as they like, but we can't even say "Merry Christmas" anymore. And people call that fair and equal treatment. As if!
